Alice contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair after noticing that the crawl space was damp, but wasn't sure if there was any mold or wood rot at the time.
We scheduled for one of our design specialist, Derek to go out and do an inspection of the crawl space. After speaking with Alice showing her the condition of her crawl space, Derek proposed mold remediation and to encapsulate to help the homeowner keep the moisture and mold out of the crawl space.
Our crew led by Kevin, first they started off by removing the old insulation that was soaked with moisture and then treated for the mold . Next, they installed the SilverGlo Insulation Panels transferring the insulation barrier to the outer parts of the crawl space. Next, they installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Liner along with a Sedona Dehumidifier and a Smart Sump to help keep the crawl space free of moisture.
Alice is thrilled with the work that SEFR did to protect his American Dream.

3 year homeowner, Rene, wanted to get her crawlspace inspected and repaired because the insulation was falling down, she had squaky uneven floors, and was concerned about the air quality. She has been trying to find the best company to help her, so she reached out to us on April 10 of 2026. We listened to her issues and set up an appointment for a no cost inspection.
On April 15, 2026, we sent our design specialist, Kevin E., out to her home in Raeford, NC to see what solutions we could offer to solve her issues. Kevin noticed right away that the health of her home was being impacted by the state of the crawlspace. There was groundwater seepage, sagging floors above, and the insulation was falling out everywhere, no longer protecting the home. On top of that, there were snakes skins near areas of the insulation that had fallen, meaning they could be finding ways into the home through the crawlspace. Since water was present, moisture could be getting into the insulation, making it fall. Moisture was most likely getting absorbed by the wood, which can make the foundation unstable and cause floors to sag. Also, mold was growing, which can cause poor air quality in the home and effect ones health.
Kevin explained to Rene the best solution. We needed to fix the groundwater seepage, seal the vents and floor from the outside air & earth, and install smart jacks and joists to get the floors level. This solution would keep moisture out, make the floors level, keep pests out, and improve air quality as well as energy efficiency.
Kevin answered all of her questions to ensure her understanding of how her problems could be solved. She was very satisfied with how he took his time and explained everything thoroughly. Rene cannot wait to get her crawlspace repaired, and we are excited to show you how much better it will look after the installation in June.
