Photo Album: Protecting a Crawl Space in Hubert, NC
Michael contacted Southeast Foundation and Crawlspace Repair after being informed by his termite inspectors that there was a moisture problem in the crawlspace of his Hubert, NC home. Southeast Foundation and Crawlspace Repair inspector Andy met with Micheal to go over the crawlspace to see what can help him in his situation. Andy found that even though the crawlspace had a vapor barrier installed it did not seal the crawlspace allowing moisture to enter from around the foundation walls. The best solution would be to rip out the old vapor barrier system and replace it with a clean space encapsulation system. The encapsulation system completely covers the ground along with going up the foundation walls and around The peers to completely seal the crawlspace from the earth's ground. Our crew also installed the Silverglo insulation panels on the foundation walls to insulate the crawlspace along with adding the Sedona dehumidifier and sump pump system to make sure that the crawlspace stays nice and dry.
