Photo Album: Crawl Space Moisture Problem Resolved in Troy, NC

A Troy, NC homeowner contacted our office needing to find a solution for a high moisture problem they were having in their crawl space. The home was built in the 1970's without any kind of vapor barrier that would protect their crawl space from the moisture issues they were having. A Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair expert met with the homeowner to assess and diagnose the problematic crawl space.    During the inspection, it was found that the crawl space had a significant moisture problem that was causing the crawl space wood joists to rot. It was determined that the best solution to permanently solve the moisture problem would be to install a Drainage Mat along with a Vapor Barrier System to prevent groundwater seepage from entering the crawl space and seal out moisture.  Additionally, the installation of a crawl space dehumidification system with a condensation pump, will dry the crawl space air to maintain a healthy humidity level, while self-draining through the condensation pump to be safely drained away from the home.    With these Basement Systems' products combined, it's without a doubt the homeowner will no longer have to worry about a crawl space moisture problem again!
