Wet Crawl Space
Water seeped into this space through the block walls and dirt floor, this increased humidity levels and left the home with a musty odor.
Before Encapsualtion
Before our team fully encapsulated this customers crawl space, they carefully removed all debris and began sealing open vents, cracks, and around any pipes that were going to the outside of the home.
CleanSpace
The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier is a heavy-duty, 20-mil thick liner that we installed across the floor and walls of the crawl space. It acts like a shield, blocking moisture from seeping in and keeping the area dry. This barrier is tough enough to withstand wear and tear while creating a clean, bright surface that helps prevent mold and moisture damage. It's a key part of our encapsulation system, working alongside other components like drainage matting and a sump pump to keep this crawl space in great shape.
Thermal Insulation Panels
SilverGlo Panels are like the unsung heroes of crawl space insulation. We installed these panels on the walls to lock in ideal temperatures for whatever season we are in and to keep the space energy-efficient. They reflect heat back into the crawl space, which helps keep it cozy and dry while also acting as a barrier against moisture. Plus, they give the space a cleaner, brighter look. It's a win-win for comfort and efficiency!
Benefits of Encapsulation
Encapsulation has some serious perks. First, it keeps moisture out, which means no more damp, musty smells or mold sneaking in. It also helps protect the home's structure by preventing wood rot and other water-related damage. Plus, with better insulation and a dehumidifier in place, the home stays more energy-efficient and comfortable year-round.
