Cracked Driveway Repair in Wilmington, NC
Challenge
This driveway, like most, has concrete slabs that are connected by expansion points, or the area separating one part of the driveway to the next. In this case, the expansion points had very old wood that needed to be removed and replaced. There were cracks throughout the driveway, including a large problem area that caused the concrete to break apart, becoming uneven.
Solution
We removed the old wood that was in the expansion point and replaced it with backer rod in three 12 foot sections. The backer rod was covered with NexusPro Crack Repair and smoothed over.
In the front side of the driveway, we used the PolyLevel method to inject polyurethane foam underneath the uneven concrete. The foam expands, pushing the concrete to a level position. Once level, we sealed the cracks with NexusPro Crack Repair.
