Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Replacing Old Vapor Barrier with CleanSpace Encapsulation System in Jacksonville, NC

Calvin and his wife Gail contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inquiring about replacing the old vapor barrier that had been previously installed in the crawl space of the home. They had noticed that even with the vapor barrier installed, they still had issues with moisture such as condensation, falling insulation and a musty smell coming from the area. Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Andy Pittman met with Calin and Gail to go over the crawl space. Andy found that even though the couple had a vapor barrier installed, it did not completely seal off the crawl space, allowing moisture to enter the crawl space and cause the problem. Andy suggested that we install the CleanSpace Encapsulation System. Jason Hines and crew installed the System by first pulling the falling insulation from the crawl space getting rid of the musty smell that was coming from it. Next, they installed the SilverGlo Insulation Panels to work as a radiant barrier to keep the crawl space warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They then installed the 20 mil CleanSpace Liner on top of the CleanSpace Drainage Matting to keep the water out from the crawl space and the building materials. We also installed the SmartSump Sump Pump System and Sedona Dehumidifier to keep the crawl space nice and dry. After having the crawlspace encapsulated with the CleanSpace System Calvin and Gail have noticed a big difference not only in the smell and the energy cost but also the way the home feel overall.
