Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Encapsulating a Crawl Space in Wilmington, NC
John contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair because he was interested in having an encapsulation system installed to help save some money on his heating and cooling costs, along with helping preserve his home from problems associated with moisture issues.
Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Maurice Robinson met with John to go over the crawl space of his home and gave him a free, no obligation estimate.
Our crew lead by Larry Eldridge installed the CleanSpace Encapsualtion System. Larry and his crew started the project by removing John's old insulation between the floor joists. They then transitioned the insulation barrier to the foundation wall by installing the SilverGlo Insulation Panels. Next they wrapped all the piers with the liner and then laid the liner on the ground and fastened it to the walls with the CleanSpace Encapsulation Tape. After the liner was laid they installed the Sedona dehumidifier along with the SmartSump System to complete the project.
John was highly impressed with the process that Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair took starting from the phone call, meeting the inspector, to the installation of the products in his crawl space. He can rest assured that Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair will be there for him for the next 25 years and beyond.
Improving the efficiency of HVAC
By installing the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation along with the SilverGlo Insulation Panels we are able to decrease the temperature difference between the home and the crawl space allowing the HVAC to work more efficiently.
No More Rodents or Insects
By sealing off the crawl space with the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System we are able to reduce the humidity so that the area is less hospitable for rodents and insects.
Custom Crawl Space Door and EverLast Access Well
Our crew installed a Custom Crawl Space Door made of PVC that won't rot due to the elements. Also installed was an EverLast Access Well with a bed of gravel to help assist with drainage.
Improved Air Quality
By cleaning up and sealing the crawl space with the CleanSpace Encapsulation System, we can significantly improve the air quality within the home. With 40-50% of the air entering the home from the crawl space, the homeowner can rest assured that a crawl space with an encapsulation system would not expose them to the problems and allergens associated with moist soil, potential mold, rodent droppings, etc.
Increasing the Value of the Home
Installing the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation system adds value to the home along with being an attractive feature to many buyers if ever put on the market.
