Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Encapsulating a Crawl Space in Aberdeen, NC

Derek contacted Southeast Foundation and crawlspace repair due to having a botched vapor barrier installed by another company at his Aberdeen, NC home. The other company had installed a basic vapor barrier and samp pump towards the back of the house, however, the vapor barrier was still allowing moisture into the crawlspace and the sump pump and dehumidifier that was installed previously was not working for the conditions of the home. Southeast Foundation and crawlspace repair inspector Austin met with Derek to go over the crawlspace to see what we could do to fix the crawl space. Austin found that the vapor barrier that was previously installed still allowed moisture from around the foundation walls and around the piers making the dehumidifier and sump pump system run excessively. Our crew removed the old vapor barrier system that had previously been installed along with the sump pump and dehumidifier. They then encapsulated the crawlspace using our drainage matting and 20 mil along with Silverglo Insulation Panels on the foundation walls. They then installed the Sedona dehumidifier along with the Smart Sump sump pump system to get rid of the excessive moisture in the crawlspace. Derek is happy with the work that Southeast Foundation and crawlspace repair did to protect his home for many years to come.
