The floor in this home was sinking and creating gaps where the wall meets the floor. The wooden beams in the crawl space that support the floor have weakened due to the wood absorbing excess moisture and humidity, therefore causing the floors to sag. We installed support beams and SmartJacks in the crawl space to lift and stabilize the floors. SmartJacks are adjustable steel columns that lift sagging floors back up to their level position. They are attached to the floor joists or support beams. You can see in the image that the SmartJacks have pushed the floor up, closing the gap where the wall meets the floor.
